Founded in 1880, Children’s Hopsital at Westmead is one of Australia’s largest children’s hospitals. In addition to specializing in the treatment of seriously ill children, the hospital also stands for pioneering research. At the end of 2016, 3d-berlin worked closely with Oneview Healthcare to introduce a 2D wayfinding system with the aim of making patients’ and visitors’ stay as pleasant as possible. At 23 starting points, patients, visitors and, of course, employees can get a good overview of the hospital and search specifically for doctors and wards. They then have the option of having the route displayed step by step on the map. Those who quickly lose their bearings on longer journeys can also see the route on their smartphone via a scanned QR code.
