In the direct vicinity of the Dreiländer-Eck, the Aquis Plaza opened its doors in October 2015. For the first time in Aachen, visitors can explore a shopping center in 3D. At two kiosk systems, visitors will find the interactive control panel of the new 3D wayfinding system. Using the touchscreen, they can select over 140 destinations using the map, menu or virtual keyboard and have the route displayed. The 3D wayfinding animation can be switched between two different perspectives at will and a barrier-free route can be selected. So that visitors do not have to remember the way to their destination, they can download it to their smartphone. Simply scan the QR code and off you go.
